Cranford Co. Sweeps 2016 Little Rock ADDYs with Best of Show and 67 Total Awards

After their first full year in business, Cranford Co. captured the award for Best of Show and the majority of Gold and Silver ADDYs at the American Advertising Awards hosted by the Little Rock chapter of the American Advertising Federation. The American Advertising Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing creative excellence and the very best advertising both in local competitions and nationwide. It is the only competition that includes three rigorous levels of judging.

“The American Advertising Awards are the best way to see your work up against, not just the local competition, but the best in the region, and in the nation,” said Jay Cranford, partner and chief creative officer. All of the Gold and Silver awards from Little Rock have been sent to Texas to compete in the 10th District ADDY Awards, where agencies from all across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana will compete. Winners from there will proceed to the National stage, in Anaheim, CA. Last year, Cranford Co. won three National ADDYs after only seven months in business.

A campaign created to promote Nancy Nolan’s photography exhibit, “Park’s Pants” at Wildwood Park for the Arts was the top award winner. Cranford Co. won awards for twenty-one different clients across nearly all media—print, TV, video, digital, radio, outdoor, branding, photography, and social media.

“The ADDYs celebrate creative excellence in our local area and provide a gateway to the national competition,” said Bill Brookshire, President of AAF-Little Rock. “Little Rock frequently receives recognition at both a district and national level. We’re proud of the great work that the agencies and publishers in our area produce.” There were 158 total entries from 24 different agencies, publications, and industry professionals in this year’s competition.

Judges for the awards traveled to Little Rock from Los Angeles, CA; Jacksonville, FL; and Anchorage, AK. Lead judge Jean Robaire, formerly with Stein Robaire and Helm; Robaire Hogshead; and BBDO New York, has previously judged such prestigious shows as the Belding awards (LA’s ADDYs), the Cannes Lions in France, and the D&AD awards in England.
